A Darker Shade of White is a storyline created by 900bv which retells the events following Ascension. The focus of the story is Richtofen acquiring objects vital to his plans. It is the first storyline in the Crumbling World saga.
Verhängnis (German: Doom) is the first map in the A Darker Shade of White storyline. It is a prequel to the entire zombies storyline, and follows Richtofen, Schuster, Groph and Porter trying to survive during an accident at the Der Riese facility in Breslau. It features exactly the same features as Der Riese.
Auringonlasku (Finnish: Sunset) is the second map in the storyline. It's mainly focused around the Golden Rod and Vril Energy. There are also two new Wonder Weapons, the Demon's Breath and the Liekkikranaatti, and the Super Punch Machine debuts.
Eiswüste (German: Frozen Wasteland) is the third map in the storyline. It returns to Germany, albeit in a different time. There are easter eggs involving teleporation, and a musical easter egg by Rishloo. There is a new wonder weapon, the Wunderschrotflinte, along with the return of the Super Punch Machine and the arrival of Power-Up Roulette and the Magma Punch Machine.
Nichtverrückt (German: Not Crazy) is the fourth map in the storyline. It is the storylines replacement for Call of the Dead, and features four 1960s celebrities, Ray Davies, Lee Marvin, Martin Balsam and Simone Signoret. It also marks the return of George A. Romero. It is set in Wittenau Sanatorium and it sees the four original characters trapped, who must be freed.
Der Niedergang (German: The Demise) is the fifth map in the storyline. It is set around the Berlin Wall and Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki and Edward Richtofen return. It features an array of new weapons, perks and power ups and also a selection of easter eggs.
Keine Möglichkeit (German: No Chance) is the sixth map in the storyline. It is set in the Reichstag almost immediately after the events of Der Niedergang. It introduces a new character, Karl Dönitz, and a selection of new content including a new perk, Soldier Soda, a couple of new power-ups and the debut of anti-powerups.
A Darker Shade of White introduces some new guns and welcomes back some favourites. It also features the Super Punch Machine
which improves weapons even more! See the list of the weapons here.
Also, as per usual, the storyline features brand new Wonder Weapons that will be destructive and fun.
