The Final Chapter Futuristic Arrival Creation by RoachTheIntelCollector canon to the Roach Chronicles

“You're no good to me if you're dead or unable to do anything competent.”
―Abigail Payne

Abigail Payne was a student of Golden Oak University who operated as a freelance hacker with a penchant for deceptive tactics to fulfill her own desires. After sneaking aboard the college field trip to the Museum of Unnatural History, Abigail found herself being caught amidst a surprise zombie outbreak at the museum, where she joined forces with three other survivors.

However, Abigail found herself being manipulated by Ignotus, the source of the outbreak, who played into her arrogance to trick her into freeing his soul from within the MPD. Before Abigail could do anything, Ignotus' soul possessed her, causing their souls to forcefully join with one another and be reset into a new one. Ultimately, Abigail would cease to exist, her body and name now being used by her and Ignotus' joint reincarnation, Abigail-Ignotus.

Nexus Recollection[]

A young hacker who was visiting the Museum of Unnatural History during the sudden and mysterious outbreak.

Abigail doesn't think too highly of her fellow survivors, and often thinks herself superior to them in every way with her skills in the evergrowing technological age. She also has a tendency to sarcastically mock her allies when she has to save them.

Background[]

Early Life[]

Abigail Payne was born on June 16th, 2000 in Tampa Bay, Florida in Earth-61017. At a young age, Abigail was fascinated with technology, and sought to find a means as to control it for her own interests. In the growing years of her life, she became a freelance hacker, using her skills in hacking to gain access to digital information that is usually kept hidden from the public eye.

As a result of this, Abigail began to use the information she found against others, and triggering their reactions for her own enjoyment. After graduating high school, Abigail went to Golden Oak University in order to expand her abilities in technology and hacking. Among her colleagues at her college was Jane Samson, though they never interacted that much, if not at all. During her time in college, Abigail was able to create a special app for her modified iPad, allowing her to hack into various digital systems of her choosing and manipulate them to create beneficial outcomes.

The Final Chapter[]

Chain of Memories[]

Having an interest in visiting the Museum of Unnatural History, Abigail lied to her teachers that she was sick in her dorm to explain her absence from her classes and snuck aboard the student bus bound for the museum. Upon getting off the bus, she quickly paired up with Jane and a couple of other girls before entering the museum. While at the food court, Abigail witnessed the surprise zombie outbreak within the building, and quickly joined forces with Jane and father/son duo Marcus Hudson and Theodore Hudson. Together, the group fought against the undead horde while also simultaneously working to help a mysterious voice, who promised the group their freedom.

However, Abigail would soon become swayed by the voice, who promised her a much bigger reward than the others. When the time came to insert the Omega Key into the MPD, Abigail tricked her allies into staying away from the MPD while she carried out the process alone. Once she had locked herself inside the Crater of Hell exhibit using a remote hack with her iPad, Abigail thrusted the Omega Key into the MPD, though she began to struggle when she found herself unable to let go of the key. Abigail was promptly sucked into her subconscious mentally, where she met Ignotus, the owner of the mysterious voice. There, Ignotus revealed that he was responsible for the outbreak, and that he was using it as a means of testing the survivors.

When Abigail confronted Ignotus over this, he revealed that she had exceeded his expectations, proving herself to be worthy of serving him as his new vessel. Before she could do anything, Abigail was then subdued by Ignotus, who soon fused his soul with her own in an attempt to consume it. As a result of their conflicting influences however, the two souls were instead reborn into a singular one that their joint reincarnation would inherit for herself, one that would eventually be stripped of both Abigail and Ignotus' influences over time and assume control of the former's body.
