Captain Alain Bourden is a former guard of the Shock Trooper Guardsmen and one of the four main heroes of Earth-111517.

Military Career[]
Alain Bourden was born in Liverpool, England on January 6th, 2226 in Earth-111517. In 2245 at the age of nineteen, Alain became a member of the Shock Trooper Guardsmen, rising to the rank of Sergeant. During an unknown mission, Alain received an injury to his left eye that forced him to replace it with a cybernetic implant.[1]
Secret Mission[]
In 2250, Alain was part of a classified reconnaissance team that was tasked with traversing the universe in search of relics of ultimate power and delivering them to Vault Zero on Luna to ensure their powers never fell into the wrong hands. During this mission, Alain discovered the Matter Orb, and after conducting some studies on the relic before sending it off to Vault Zero, discovered that it served as a rift between reality and the Dark Realm, a place where darkness first came from.[2]
Initial Outbreak[]
Fort New Trinity Outbreak[]
In November 2251, Alain was sent to the Fort New Trinity military base and research facility to provide an additional level of security as the base prepared its first live experiments with The Hybrid. On November 19th, while on patrol, Alain spotted a Nakumurian soldier named Jack McMack whom he believed to have been a spy. Alain managaed to apprehend Jack after a brief chase, though before he could question him on his intentions at the facility, he was interrupted by a nearby explosion. Alain quickly deduced that the experiments went arwy as The Hyrbid began infecting much of the staff stationed at the facility with contaminated Hybrillium samples, turning them into zombies.
Alain decided to set aside his differences with Jack for the time being and attempted to evacuate from the facility with him, only to find that nearly every exit had been overrrun by the undead. Alain and Jack tried to engage the zombies, though their overwhelming numbers forced the duo to flee. The two quickly found themselves cornered by several zombies with no ammunition left in their firearms, and just when all hope seemed lost, they were saved by the timely arrival of Gloria "Athena" Branigan, a member of the Galactic Council of Alliances sent to oversee the experiments, and a mysterious shrouded individual who claimed to be a private mercenary employed by the Eclipse Medical and Health Services. Together, the four joined forces to fight off the zombies and neutralize The Hybrid before its infection could spread further.[1]
