Personally, the thing that pisses me off the most is that Keats gets to feel justified putting these fucking things on every floor of the building...
— Michael Navarro

The Auto-Changer Machine is a feature introduced in Magma-Man's map, Lockdown. It is used as a Mystery Box replacement, but can be featured in a map along with the Mystery Box.

Eternal Deception

In Eternal Deception it is a large, gunmetal grey slot machine produced by Keats Industries. Unlike the Mystery Box, it will not function if the power is not turned on. When activated for 1150 points, the player's weapon gets put inside the top, the crank pulls down, three symbols spin and stop, and the new gun is literally thrown out and into the player's hand no matter where they are. The process takes 3.25 seconds, unless the player has Timeslip, which reduces the time to 1.75 seconds.

The symbols are simply for show and have nothing to do with what is given out, except for showing as a jackpot when a wonder weapon or close equivalent is given, along with a victory guitar riff and confetti spitting out along with the weapon.

They can potentially be broken after being used a certain amount of times. They will sputter and smoke will start pouring out of it. Players must either grab a Replacement Board from a defeated enemy, or smack it with a knife until it works again.

Lies

Pros

  • It gives you your new weapon in only three fourths of a second, unlike the Mystery Box, which you have to wait a while defending youself while the Box chooses your weapon.

Cons

  • It is more risky to use then the Mystery Box, because when you use it you have to take the weapon it gives you, unlike the Mystery Box, which lets you not take the weapon it gives you.
  • It is more expensive then the Mystery Box, costing 50 points more.

Appearance and How it Works

It looks like a giant metal slot machine. When you activate it, you place your weapon in the slot, then pull the crank. When you do it will suck in your weapon, make mechanical wirring sounds for three fourths of a second, then your weapon will pop back out, this time something different.
