Call of Duty: Battlegrounds is an open world first-person shooter game developed by Infinite Development Incorporated and published by Activision for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii-U, and Infinite Development Inc.'s own system, the Multi-Purpose Home Entertainment System (MPHES). It is set in from 2013-2019 and takes place during World War III, but not following the Modern Warfare series' canon. The game is set to be the start of an entirely new trilogy of games.

Survival[]
Survival is a game mode based off of the original Zombies gameplay style. It features many of the same mechanics, with the exception of higher graphics, more realistic effects, new features, and a slightly different story than the original Zombies story.
One of the new features is the oppurtunity to chose different storylines that the players can play through. As of now, there are two storylines available to the players.
Remember When... (Revamped)[]
The Remember When... (Revamped) storyline takes place directly after the storylines from World at War, Black Ops, and Black Ops II. However, it takes a different direction in that all maps from Five to Mob of the Dead never happened and that they were illusions.
There are a total of six maps in this storyline.
Future's Fortune (DLC)[]
The Future's Fortune storyline is a downloadable storyline that occurs simultaneously with World at War, Black Ops, and Black Ops II' storyline. The storyline is sepearted into three series, with the first two featuring two different groups and the third combining the two groups.
There are a total of twenty four maps in this storyline.
