Convoluted Conclusion is an achievement featured in the Zombies map Excavation. It requires players to "break the cycle". It is the map's main easter egg achievement, where it can be achieved in solo or in co-op. In order to be able to start the easter egg, all of the easter eggs in all four sagas must be completed.
Step 1: The Dig Site[]
The first step in order to begin the easter egg is to gain access to the interior of the sawmill and reach the center room. A player must now use the MM1 Grenade Launcher and shoot the pile of sawdust in the center of the room, causing it to reveal a hatch. Use the grenade launcher to blow open the hatch, revealing a secret underground tunnel.
Step 2: The Seal[]
At the end of the tunnel is a door that can only be opened with the use of a special code. Around the tunnel are pictures which show a part of the code in different colors. In order to insert the code, insert each part of the code from top to bottom from the colors of the rainbow (i.e. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple) into the door, causing it to sink into the ground, revealing an altar with the Harbinger on it.
Step 3: Obtaining the Harbinger[]
In order to take the sword, the player must kill at least fifty zombies near the altar, causing their souls to be absorbed by the blade. Every ten zombies killed near the blade will cause the symbols on the blade to slowly glow until they are glowing brightly. The player can now pick up the blade for 3000 points.
Step 4: Survival[]
Once the player has obtained the Harbinger, the player must survive for ten rounds with only using the Harbinger in order for it to charge the Summoning Key within its hilt. Once done, a certain location will be highlighted for the player to head to. Once there, the match will automatically end and the end cutscene will play.
Rewards[]
For completing this easter egg, the player is rewarded with a staggering 500,000XP. The player will also be rewarded with a Gold trophy as well.
Trivia[]
- Each suit in the achievement icon represents the order in which the four characters were killed, with Roach (The Spade) being first, O'Ryan (The Club) being second, Chris (The Heart) being third and TJ (The Diamond) being fourth.
