The Crossbow is a canon weapon that appears in all Call of Duty: Black Ops zombie maps. It also appears in the World at War maps, but only through Rezurrection or the Hardened/Prestige edition of the game.
Overview[]
The Crossbow is difficult to use in all games, as it's slow reload and high splash damage is problematic. If you plan to use it, or at least Pack-a-Punch it, you will probably need Speed Cola and if on Ascension, Call of the Dead, Shangri-La or Moon you should use PhD Flopper.
Awful Lawton[]
If you Pack-a-Punch the Crossbow you will get the Awful Lawton. Aside from gaining a big power boost, it's only other stand-out feature is the ability to attract zombies. Like Monkey Bombs, zombies will go towards an arrow. This makes it a useful side-weapon.
