- “You ever hear of something called "Deflation"? No? Well its something that...I forgot his name, I think it was some code name like Greedy, or was it Selfish? I don't know! Mr. Tachibana knows him, but this thing he came up with is fun. Lemme explain how it works...”

Deflation is a game mode introduced in Call of Duty: Age of Extinction as part of the A Joker's Debt expansion. At the start of the game, players will be given 90 seconds to prepare for the endless onslaught of Grimm.
Overview[]
In Deflation, players will start off with 50,000 Credits, but they will not be able to gain anymore Credits during the match just like in the original mode. Furthermore, the more players spend their Credits, the higher their final score will be at the end when everyone is Downed. Elite High-Value Tier Grimm will occasionally spawn, and are the only source to earn Credits, however their chances to spawn are very low. Class Abilities will have decreased cooldown times and are active much longer; some will even become more potent as they reach a certain time threshold.
However due to this being an Extinction mode, players will not encounter waves of enemies and instead will be tracked with a timer that will display how long players have survived for. As players continue to survive, the enemies will get progressively more stronger and potent over time.
Heroic Mode[]
There is a Heroic version of Deflation where players will instead start off with only 25,000 Credits. Class Abilities also have an increased cooldown and their active times have been reduced by 50%. Enemies are much stronger earlier on.
In addition, Major High Value Tier Grimm replace the Elite Grimm, but they have even lower chances to spawn.

Trivia[]
- This game mode is based off of Greedyselfish's game mode of the same name.
- Unlike most modes in Call of Duty: Age of Extinction, Deflation does not have dedicated maps and can be played on Missions maps without boundaries or restrictions.
