Draugrs were the remains of ancient men and women that were risen from the dead by Doctor Maxis. Dr. Maxis experimented on the remains with great success as they responded to his commands and had the ability to be trained in modern standards. They were ultimately unused until Samantha took control of all of the zombies.

Remember When...[]
Draugrs first appear on Round 8, however, they will wear ancient armor, wield a sword and walk slowly towards the player. As rounds go on, the Draugrs will have more and more advanced technology and will use combat maneuvers to fool players. By Round 23, all Draugrs will wield Wonder Weapons and will use them against the players and they will run as fast as a player wielding a shotgun. Only a quarter of the enemies faced in a round will be Draugrs.
Six different versions appear in-game; Normal Draugrs (or just simply Draugrs), Restless Draugrs, Draugr Wrights, Draugr Scourges, Draugr Overlords and Draugr Deathlords. All forms of Draugrs, except for normal Draugrs, have more health than normal zombies. Below is a chart of how many times more health do Draugrs have over Zombies:
Type | Times More Health Over Zombies |
Draugr | Same as regular zombie |
Restless Draugr | 2x more health points |
Draugr Wright | 3x more health points |
Draugr Scourge | 4x more health points |
Draugr Overlord | 5x more health points |
Draugr Deathlord | 6x more health points |
Only Draugr Deathlords and Draugr Overlords can use special attacks against the players. The Draugr Overlords' special attack is disorienting the players by using a shout on them, meanwhile, Draugr Deathlords' special ability is to dual-wield light machine guns and disorienting the players with a shout.
