Edward Willard was a Unit Fourteen operative in Earth-92116 in command of the group's operations at a private warehouse on Terminal Island.

Biography[]

Unit 14 Operative[]

In 2016, Willard joined Unit Fourteen shortly after its establishment. In 2019, following the discovery of Element X and Unit Fourteen's subsequent rise in prominence throughout the black market, Willard was put in charge of a warehouse owned by a Unit Fourteen front company on Terminal Island in California, which served as a key shipping port for the group to allocate resources across the globe to overseas facilities and buyers alike.

On October 24th, Willard was present at the warehouse when it was raided by a unit of the United States Army comprised of Division One's former members. Willard was confronted by the team in the warehouse's control room, where he begrudingly divulged information that Unit Fourteen was transporting a sample of Element X to an overseas buyer. Knowing he'd rather die than fall into the army's custody, Willard quickly pulled out a pistol and attempted to shoot Roach, though he was swiftly gunned down by the team before he could.^[1]

Legacy[]

The intel Willard provided, in addition to a shipping manifest recovered from the warehouse, allowed Roach's team to pinpoint the location of the Unit 14 ship transporting the Element X sample. The team managed to successfully secure the sample and neutralize the ship, providing the United States Army a chance to research Element X for themselves.^[1]

Willard's encounter with Roach's team was briefly shown to past versions of Division One as a vision as they learned of the future that would play out once they returned back to their original time through an audio log created by Mackenzie Davis.^[2]
