Eldritch Barlow is a an ancient Master Strigoi, and when awakened is capable of using psychic powers to control all vampires in the world. He was created by Christopher Nooring to be the main antagonist of the Vampire Apocalypse storyline and serves as the announcer.
His tomb was guarded by the Twisted Dragon. Charlotte Maur and her allies accidentally reawakened him, thinking their actions would prevent him from coming back.
His powers proved to be more powerful than even his creators envisioned, as he proceeded to assault the Freedom Facilities outside of the confines of his native world of Freedom.
Putting his creator, Christopher, in his place as the "final boss" of the Vampire Apocalypse, Barlow managed to lead the crew into completing the ending ritual too early and incorrectly, shattering reality as they knew it. Free from his scripting, Barlow was able to take even more complete control.
Eventually he was permanently destroyed, ending his apocalypse and freeing Charlotte and her allies from Freedom.
