Futuristic Redemption is an animated Canadian feature film directed, written and executive produced by Jesse Spade and Jett Wills. It is distributed and funded by Morningwood Entertainment, and is the first in the company's Futuristic Series. The film is slated for an August 4th, 2023 release. Its sequel Futuristic Midnight is slated for an August 8th, 2025 release.
It is the fourth film directed by Jesse Spade, the second he had written, and the third he executive produced. It is also the first film that Jett Wills executive produced and his first collaboration with director Jesse Spade. It is also the first film by Morningwood Entertainment to use Resemblance, an animation proprietary software developed by Semblance Industries, and assisted the production crew with the software. Allen Keng, Khary Phayton, April Stewart, Tara Strong, Jennifer Paz and Jim Meskimen all reprise their roles from Jett Wills' Futuristic Paradox short-film, and are joined by Todd Haberkorn, Fred Tatasciore, Kristen Potter, Matilda Smedius, Lizzie Freeman, Brianna Knickerbocker, Awkwafina, Patricia Summersett, Lydia Mackay and Alexandra LeMosla. Additionally, Jesse Spade and Jett Wills have cameos in the film, voicing a pair of Techno Agents nicknamed "Biggs and Wedge."
The film takes place in the restored Earth-52319 during the events of the Futuristic Paradox and after The Final Chapter. The film also features two arcs: the first arc is the Techno arc which focuses on a replicated version of Techno recruited directly by The Son to fix their Universe's Original Timeline by entering its Timeline Loop and ensure Blackout's original goal succeeds, and the second arc focuses on The Son who ventures to the new history made after Replica Techno's success in order to reunite with Sophia, and is joined by the Nexus Apparition Sif.
As part of the film's development, executive producer Jett Wills created an official timeline of the Arc 3 Universe. Jett later assisted Jeese in the development of the plot of Futuristic Redemption following the completion of Futuristic Arrival and its transcript, finishing the story's main plot on July 14th, 2023.
Voice Cast[]
When Morningwood Entertainment announced the Futuristic Series as a continuation of Jett Wills' Futuristic Paradox short-film, the executives wanted to cast new voice actors in the roles of Techno and Blackout, however, Director Jesse Spade felt that, due to the film's prologue sequence, it would not feel right to cast newer actors and this decision led to the original voice actors for Techno and Blackout to return was greenlit, along with Jeff Wills' involvement in the film production.
For the voice roles of other and new characters, both Jesse Spade and Jett Wills were actively involved in the casting process to find the voice talent for the characters alongside casting agent Hannah Summers.

Plot[]
Prologue[]
Techno are in the depths of the Paradise Island Reserve Power Station, fighting against a Blackout-possessed Nakata "Demi" Hayashi and several zombies in an attempt to derail Blackout's plans to drain the world of its Fractured-Space Energy. At Demi's behest, Techno are able to destroy the redirectory chamber she was housed in, leading to her death, though their efforts were unable to stop Blackout from successfully sending enough power to the Central Vault to fulfill his plans.
With his goal at the power station achieved, Blackout teleports to the vault to carry out the last steps of his plan, leaving behind Techno, who mourn Demi's death. After some time has passed, Victor "Stratus" Payton manages to finish a teleportation device that would trace Blackout's energy trail and generate a portal for Techno to use to reach the vault. Techno activates the teleporter, though The Son intercepts them mid-teleport and brings them to the Nexus, asking if they now saw the result of their actions.
Act I[]
The Son fills in Techno on what was supposed to happen in their timeline. To prove his words were indeed true, The Son utilized the Nexus Almanac of the Ruler to fill in Techno on several previous memories in their lives, including the death of Jennifer "Vega" Reese's parents and Roxanne "Rox" Summers prior relationship with former Techno leader Isabelle "Siren" Lakewood. Vega questions what The Son wanted, who explains that he required their help to fix the multiverse, as the destruction of Earth-52319 caused great damage and formed several temporal paradoxes that The Son and his Nexus Apparitions managed to get under control for the time being.
The Son reveals that they were not the original versions of Techno, but rather replicas he plucked from a replica timeline. The Son explains that their goal was to sabotage the efforts of their Original versions and allow Blackout to succeed in his plan, thus preventing the destruction of their universe. Though the Replica Techno initially refuses to allow this to happen, The Son convinces them to cooperate after showing them various paradoxes and the damage they've done to the Roach Chronicles multiverse. With Replica Techno's cooperation, The Son sends them to a contained loop of the events of Futuristic Paradox to stop their Original selves and save the Roach Chronicles multiverse.
Act II[]
Replica Techno successfully enters the loop contained within the main Earth-52319 timeline during the events of End of the World, coming face-to-face with their Original selves shortly after they enter the Frozen Forest. Replica Techno try to explain the situation to their Original selves, though they dismiss them as decoys made by Blackout to distract them. The two factions fight, buying Blackout time to begin his work. After a fierce battle, Replica Techno ultimately succeeds and incapacitates their Original selves, while Blackout uses the opportunity to finally neutralize all of the world's F-Space energy. Replica Techno come to terms with their inevitable fate, happy that their actions would now allow the future to carry out.
In the Nexus, The Son removes Replica Techno's replica timeline while the looped section of Earth-52319 sinks into the foundation of the universe and a new history begins right when the loop would have started. In this new history, during the raid of the Mirage Corporation Headquarters, the F-Space Energy suddenly depletes, as Blackout's actions to destroy the F-Space Energy within the looped timeline affected this new history, which was established over the looped timeline. The ensuing carnage at the headquarters leads to an explosion, completely leveling the headquarters and taking numerous lives, including Demi. Word of Demi's death reaches Techno the next morning, who mourn her death.
With the deleption of F-Space Energy, the Mirage Corporation took a massive blow in both finances and reputation. To help the world in its time of crisis, Atlas International stepped in with their Artificial-Space Energy that they previously developed, gaining vast popularity and support from the world. Mirage was ultimately forced to declare bankruptcy, and its remaining assets were all acquired by Atlas, including Techno. Not long after their acquisition by Atlas, Techno meet Melissa Anders and Elisa May, the director and deputy director of P.A.R.A.D.O.X., who would serve as Techno's handlers. Anders starts a video call with Jonathan Irons and the rest of the Atlas Council, who formally announces that Techno was relocating to Midnight City as a counter-terrorism task force.
Act III[]
With Earth-52319 finally fixed, The Son uses the opportunity to finally search for Sophia, who had an incarnation living within Earth-52319. A couple of months following the restoration, The Son manages to deduce that Jessika Hudson, the leader of a vagrant group called the Drifters, was in fact his reincarnated daughter. On October 3rd, The Son, Sif and Freyja find Jessika and the rest of the Drifters living in an abandoned building in Neomuna. Sophia, as Jessika, realizes who The Son actually is, though she vents her frustrations regarding Ozma's abandonment of his children. To regain her trust, The Son shares his fonded memory; Sophia's birth, which The Son suggested to Ozma at the time that he name her Sophia as it meant "wisdow" in Latin, an ancient combination of Nexu and Hive dialect.
With her trust restored, Jessika introduces The Son and the two Nexus Apparitions to the members of the Drifters, including their respective histories. The Drifters reveal that they were hiding from Klara Riley and her Neon Raiders, who sought to kill her niece Scarlet Riley and the rest of the Drifters. At that moment however, the building is suddenly breached by Klara and her Neon Raiders, who were also joined by Siren and a few members of the Forsaken. Siren reveals that she was hired by Klara to assist in taking out the Drifters in exchange for help with another job at a later date, which she also saw as a chance to get back at Jessika for destroying her left eye.
A firefight breaks out between the Drifters and the combined Neon Raiders/Forsaken strike team. To ensure his daughter and her friends survived, The Son and the Nexus Apparitions fought alongside the Drifters, proving to be much needed help. Believing that Klara was unfit to assist her in the future upon witnessing her struggles to kill the Drifters, Siren betrays Klara by pulling out with her forces to save herself from the power of The Son and the Nexus Apparitions, leaving Klara and her struggling Neon Raiders to fend for themselves. Ultimately, Klara is killed by her niece, and the surviving Neon Raiders flee the scene with Dominique "Cataclysm" Tam.
Act IV[]
In the aftermath of the Drifter's victory against the Neon Raiders, The Son asks Jessika if she wished to return with him and the Nexus Apparitions to the Nexus. Jessika accepts under the condition that her daughter Sally Hudson is allowed to come as well. The Son accepts her request, welcoming his granddaughter to the family. Jessika asks if the other Drifters had any interest in following them, though they all declined, saying that with the Neon Raiders no longer a threat, they were now free to start over in their lives. Jessika and Sally tearfully bid farewell to the other Drifters, announcing that the Drifters were officially disbanded. The Son, Jessika, Sally and the Nexus Apparitions all depart through a portal while the remaining Drifters leave to start fresh with their lives. The Son briefly pauses within the portal and turns back, sensing a familiar power still lingering in Earth-52319, though he dismisses this feeling and returns to the Nexus.
Upon returning to the Nexus, the group is met by Thor, Loki and Odin, who informs The Son about a sudden universal incursion. The Son ponders that it couldn't be the Roach Chronicles multiverse now that it was fixed, but rather something else within the depths of the Nexus. The Son leaves to personally investigate the situation, promising to return before giving his daughter a fatherly kiss on the head. The Son ventures to the incursion at a remote section of the Nexus, discovering that it was none other than The Angel. The Son fights against The Angel but is soon overpowered by her, forcing him to use the last of his strength to send No Name flying back across the Nexus to Jesskia just as The Angel kills The Son's physical body, forcing him to reincarnate within an unknown universe.
No Name's lone arrival, which contained the imprinted scent of The Angel's power placed on it by The Son, greatly distrubed the Nexus Apparitions, who realized that The Angel had indeed returned and The Son was forced to reincarnate again. With The Son gone once again, the Nexus Apparitions bestow No Name to Jessika through a hereditary basis, making her the Nexus Ruler until The Son would one day return, which Thor stated wouldn't be for a very long time. Jessika grants Sally the Nexus name Sapientia, named after The Mother's true name, before announcing that they would do everything they could to stop The Angel and reunite with The Son.
Epilogue[]
The Son latches onto Ei, the current Electro Archon in the Teyvat Universe, due to their ways of protecting their ways and ideals. He appears in his original form in the Plane of Euthymia where Ei and Yae Miko are meeting with each other and are greeted by the two once they notice him.
Interludes[]
The Interlude Chapters can be viewed after finishing the movie, detailing Envoy and Wedge's journey during the events of Futuristic Paradox.
Interlude I[]
Amidst the fall of New Elpis, Envoy and Wedge assist in the evacuation of New Elpians from the zombie-infested city, guiding them to a survivor stronghold at the Hypercenter Mall.
Interlude II[]
Envoy and Wedge help patrol the Hypercenter Mall, where Wedge expresses his concern about Biggs' safety, though Envoy reassures him that he was safe with Amber Summers. Not long after, the power to the mall is knocked out by Blackout, allowing the zombies to begin their assault and forcing Envoy and Wedge to ready themselves for the upcoming fight.
Interlude III[]
Following the evacuation from New Elpis, Techno, with the exception of the Inner Circle Heads, work diligently to patrol the rest of Paradise Island. While in a Techno Dropship flying in the skies high above the island, Amber explains to Jessie Kessler that she is currently the Regent Commander of Techno until the Inner Circle Heads report in again. At that moment however, the F-Space Orb within the Central Vault explodes due to Blackout's failure to diffuse the energy in time, leading to the destruction of the entire universe.
