Captain Gideon is the commanding officer of Atlas Security Service's Elite Division. He also provides Techno with occasional combat assessments for each of its members.

Gideon appeared in the 2025 film Futuristic Midnight and its 2026 sequel Futuristic Twilight. Gideon Emery reprises the role from 2014's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare through motion capture, voice and likeness.

Origins[]

Gideon was born in August 2025 in an unknown universe. By 2059 at age 34, Gideon was a Captain of the Atlas Corporation before he was displaced into Earth-52319 through a Time Displaced Mirror.^[1]

Life in the Arc 3 Universe[]

Atlas Contractor[]

Gideon arrived in Earth-52319 on August 25th, 2119. Undeterred by his current predicament, Gideon made the most of his situation and became a mercenary, working for Mrs. T for five years before he split ties with her and found work as a security contractor for Atlas International, serving for the next 13 years. In 2137, the Atlas Security Service was created; for his outstanding combat record, Gideon was transferred to its Elite Division and became its commanding officer, regaining his previous title of Captain.^[1]

The Original Paradox[]

Within the contained events of the Arc 3 Timeline Loop, Atlas International was the first to respond to the crisis occurring on Paradise Island and Gideon would be the commanding officer of Atlas Security Forces sent to New Elpis, personally overseeing the evacuation of the Hypercenter Mall.^[2]

Assessing Techno Members[]

On October 6th, 2143, shortly after Techno became a P.A.R.A.D.O.X. subdivision, Gideon was selected by Melissa Anders to provide assessment and additional training for each of the group's members, both current and future. Gideon would test each member based on their individual skills and combat prowess through specialist training courses.^[1]

Appearance[]

Gideon is an adult man with a fair complexion, athletic build and blue eyes. He has short black hair that is slightly spiky on the top, while the hair on the sides of his face are blonde.

Abilities[]

Master Combatant: Gideon is a renowned and highly-regarded soldier with immense military training under his belt from both the Atlas Corporation of his universe and the Atlas Security Service of the Arc 3 universe. Gideon's years of combat experience has made him one of Atlas' most reputed assets and the model of which all Atlas soldiers should aspire to be.
Master Tactician: Gideon displays remarkable leadership qualities and a mastery for tactics, both on-field and as a combat instructor. His personal skills and experiences of commanding various teams over his career earned him his place as the commanding officer of Atlas Security Service's Elite Division.
