Golden Oak University

Golden Oak University (abbreviated as GOU) is a private university located in Northern Florida.

History[]

Golden Oak University was established as a private university in 2007. In 2016, Jane Samson enrolled at the university for a nursing degree, and in 2017 Abigail Payne enrolled for a degee in technology. Both Heather Mason and Lena Oxton would also enroll in 2019 for unknown degrees. On February 29th, 2020, several students chaperoned by some school faculty left the school for a trip to the newly-opened Museum of Unnatural History in the Louisiana Marshes. Both Jane and Abigail were amongst the group of students that traveled to the museum, the latter having snuck into the group after feigning her stay in her dormitory during a fake sick week.

On March 1st, the group arrived at the museum, and while touring the museum premises, they soon found themselves caught amidst a surprise zombie outbreak caused by Ignotus entering the MPD kept on display at the museum and unintentionally unleashing a burst of Aetherian energy. Nearly every student and teacher was infected and turned into a zombie, save for Jane and Abigail, who soon teamed up with father/son duo Marcus Hudson and Theodore Hudson to fight off the undead and fulfill Ignotus' desires, who promised to release them from the museum should they succeed.

In the end, Abigail and Ignotus' souls would merge together to create Abigail-Ignotus, who, under Ignotus' possession, would go on to murder Jane, Marcus and Theodore to prevent any loose ends regarding the truth behind the outbreak from emerging. After using her powers to discard any evidence of her presence at the museum and the zombie outbreak entirely, Abigail-Ignotus left the museum to return to the university, taking the original Abigail's place. Not long after returning to the university and completing the original Abigail's feigned sick week, Abigail-Ignotus attended a memorial for the students and teachers killed in the outbreak, which authorities believed to be a shooting despite lacking any evidence to identify a perpetrator.

Futuristic Arrival[]

Not long after, Abigail-Ignotus' united soul managed to meld a new consciousness for itself, making her her own person. Abigail-Ignotus developed a newfound kind personality to rebrand herself as a reformed Abigail Payne over the course of the next two months while living at the campus. Despite this, she retained knowledge of Ignotus' usage of her to commit the murders of the museum survivors, haunting her and causing her to question if she was actually her own self or still Ignotus. On May 7th, Abigail-Ignotus found herself being pulled into Earth-52319 through a temporal door, leaving her classmates and teachers confused by her sudden disappearance.

Uniforms[]

Students attending the school are required to wear a school uniform while attending classes, though they can wear casual attire outside of class and during other activities such as the trip to the Museum of Unnatural History.

For females, this uniform consists of a navy blue polo shirt, with an optional crop top variant, that has a white border at the ends of the sleeves and the shirt, a matching colored pleated skirt with a white border on the bottom, white socks and navy blue pumps, as well as an optional white headband; additionally, there is also an option to remove the white borders on the shirt and skirt. The school's logo is also sewn onto the shirt, either with the circular or triangular version.

For males, the uniform is mostly the same as the female uniform, except they have navy blue jeans or shorts instead of the skirt, ankle socks rather than the knee-high ones, and navy blue shoes with white laces as opposed to the pumps. They also lack the option to have a crop top variant of the shirt, though they do have the option to wear a normal t-shirt colored the same as the polo and has the logo instead.
