June the 10th is a minor easter egg featured in Davalar. It involves opening a hidden area hidden underneath the church, which will let the player access two secret, powerful wall weapons.
Walkthrough[]
To begin the easter egg, a player must use the action button on a slightly hidden trapdoor in the church. Banzuke will then say that they need to find something to pry it open with.
Step 1[]
- “Right, let's look around for something to pry this trapdoor open with.”
- ―Banzuke, after inspecting the trapdoor.
After inspecting the trapdoor, the player must then search for the Crowbar that has been randomly spawned into the map. There are numerous spawn locations, so the player will need to look around the entire map. After finding it and picking it up, it will become the player's melee weapon, replacing the Combat Tomahawk if it has been bought.
The player must then return to the church and again use the action button on the trapdoor. It will open, and the player can climb down into the chamber.
Step 2[]
- “Three gaps... for three skulls. They must be scattered around the town.”
- ―Banzuke, after inspecting the wall markings.
After entering the chamber, the player will find a large, yet closed, stone door and three crevices in the wall. Each crevice has a skull engraved into the wall above it. Banzuke will realize that a skull must be placed in each crevice, and the player has to find them all. They are also scattered around the map.
After finding all three skulls, the player must return to the chamber and place them in the crevices.
Final Step[]
- “Morse code. What does it mean.”
- ―Banzuke, after scanning the soldier's eyes.
When all of the skulls have been placed in the crevices, one of the following morse code sequences will play:
- •---- / ••--- / •••-- (123)
- •---- / •••-- / ••--- (132)
- ••--- / •---- / •••-- (213)
- ••--- / •••-- / •---- (231)
- •••-- / ••--- / •---- (321)
- •••-- / •---- / ••--- (312)
The leftmost skull is classified as Skull 1, and the rightmost skull is classified as Skull 3. The player must press the action button on the three skulls in the order the morse code sequence player. For example, 123 would be Left-Middle-Right. If you get the order incorrect, a different morse code sequence will play and you can try again.
When you get the right order, the door will open. In the newly opened area, you are able to by two powerful wall weapons for 1000 points each, the St. Etienne 8mm and the WM07.
Further Notes[]
- The name of the easter egg refers to June 10th, 1844, the date of the Oradour-sur-Glane massacre.
- While in the chamber, zombies will wander around the outside of the church, and will only attack after you have fully exited the chamber.
