- “The healers, monks, shamans, priests... whatever you want to call em, the Kantus are the religous lords of the Locust Horde. Their screams will have a Drone who's got a split through his chest be patched up in seconds.”
- ―An unknown human description of the Kantus
The religous lords of the Horde, the Kantus are one of the few humanoid sentient species of the Locust Horde. The Kantus possess a strange ability to chant, which repairs broken or torn skin and muscle tissue of nearby Drones, Wretches or Boomers. The Kantus's chant can also tame many creatures to do the Horde's bidding, and most of the Locust Creatures were brought into the Horde via the Kantus' chants.
The Kantus', along with the rest of the Horde, was brought to Earth when the multiverse was shattered on the Moon.
Kantus Knight[]

A Kantus Knight deflecting a bullet.
Some of the Kantus were ugpraded for combat, and were given special armour which makes them near impervious to bullets. The Kantus Knights do not utilise Kryll or Ink Grenades, instead they favour to dual wield Gorgon Pistols in their automatic form. Kantus Knights only appear during the two Major Easter Eggs (Kryllstorm and A Pure World).
In Zombies[]
Kantus' rarely appear, as they are tending to the wounded, the Kryll or various other creatures which began to run rampant upon arriving on Earth. When they do appear, the Kantus are virtually immune to the Zombie attacks as their chants and screams stun enemies. Two Kantus are playable, coming in the form of the High Kryll Chanter Jir'Ko, and the High Kantus Priest, Skorge. Jir'Ko and Skorge cannot shout or chant for balancing issues.
The Kantus play a valuable role in the Kryllstorm easter egg, being present throughout the duration.
