- “Delta? What took you so long to respond?”
- ―Ketch
Ketch is a former Tech Agent of Techno who left the group out of loyalty to Isabelle Lakewood, later joining her organization. Ketch was put in charge of operations at an abandoned warehouse in Midnight City that would be utilized by the Forsaken to illegally monitor Atlas International and Techno, however, the warehouse was later discovered and raided by Techno, leading to Ketch's arrest after he was knocked unconscious by Abigail-Ignotus using her enhanced strength.
Biography[]
Techno Operative[]
Ketch worked as a Tech Agent for Techno; Victor Payton, the Tech Agent Lead, considered Ketch to be "a damn good one."[2] Ketch was also one of Siren's closest friends on the team. At Echo's request, Ketch modified his personal Icarus LMG to his specifications.
Loyalist of Siren[]
Leaving Techno[]
On July 2nd, 2143, Siren was demoted from her position in a vote and later terminated from Techno entirely following an attempted assault on Roxanne "Rox" Summers. Upon hearing of Siren's removal from the team, Ketch followed suit and left the team out of support for his friend.[3]
A Twist in Time[]
On August 26th, 2143, the entirety of Earth-52319 was destroyed after Blackout failed to defuse the excess amount of Fractured-Space Energy eroding the universe's stability, killing all of its inhabitants, including Ketch. The days leading up to this future would be contained within a Timeline Loop by The Son, who tasked replicant variants of Techno's Inner Circle Heads to enter the loop to change the outcome of the future within it.
The variants succeeded in their mission by ensuring Blackout fulfilled his duties, allowing The Son to use the now stabilized loop as a universal foundation to restore Earth-52319 and change the grim future that would have originally played out. To ensure this future did not repeat itself, all F-Space Energy in the universe was removed from existence as a result of Blackout's success in the loop that now served as the foundation for the new history.[1]
Member of the Forsaken[]
On September 22nd, Ketch and the rest of Siren's loyalists were recruited by Siren to join her new organization called the Forsaken, seeking to enact vengeance on Techno and its Inner Circle. On October 20th, Ketch was tasked by Siren to oversee the development and usage of a listening post illegally established within an abandoned warehouse in Midnight City by the group. Ketch was also given permission to use the warehouse as a private research lab to design new tech for the organization.[3]
On November 13th, Ketch was working at the warehouse when he received a radio transmission from Delta. Ketch answered the radio and questioned Delta why it took him so long to contact him before inquiring if he successfully killed Rox, though he received no answer as he suddenly lost communications. In actuality, the Delta he spoke to was his former team leader Victor Payton, who used a voice modulator to mimic Delta in order to get someone to answer the radio, allowing him to pinpoint the location of the warehouse by detecting Ketch's radio receiving the transmission.[2]
Raid of the Forsaken Warehouse[]
That night, Ketch posted up in the warehouse's security room and informed the exterior perimeter team led by Gerlock to keep an eye out for Delta and Joker and inform him of any developments, suspecting something was up. Soon after, one of the exterior security cameras went offline, prompting Ketch to question Gerlock what happened. Gerlock informed Ketch that it merely fell off its post and that he would repair it, however, more of the camera feeds quickly went offline. Ketch desperately attempted to contact Gerlock, though he received no answer as Gerlock and his men had been knocked out by Techno.
Just then, a loud explosion echoed throughout the building, prompting Ketch to stand up from his monitor. Realizing the building had been breached, Ketch attempted to send out a transmission to Siren to inform her of the situation, though his efforts were futile, as Stratus had set up a signal jammer outside to prevent transmissions from being sent out. Knowing it was only a matter of time until Techno reached him, Ketch took a defensive position within his office and awaited their arrival. Not long after, Techno breached into his office, with Abigail-Ignotus taking point.
Ketch managed to successfully catch Abigail-Ignotus off-guard, jumping her from the side of the door. Ketch wrestled with Abigail-Ignotus, though he found himself immediately outmatched as Abigail-Ignotus accidentally triggered her super strength and punched him in the stomach, sending him flying through a wall and into a few crates in the main room, knocking him out completely. Ketch remained unconscious for the remainder of Techno's raid and was later apprehended by a P.A.R.A.D.O.X. clean-up crew.[2]
