Kino der Toten is a Nazi Zombies map featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops. The map takes place in an abandoned Nazi theatre, which has become subject to a zombie attack. It is the first map to include Fire Traps and the famous Crawler Zombies, as well as a new Wonder Weapon, the Thundergun. Although the original Kino der Toten does not appear in Future's Fortune, a look-a-like appears in Test of Courage, hidden in the fog in between Reflection and Wisdom. Unlike other places in the map, Deviations do not spawn here, even after the power is turned on.

Test of Courage[]

A building that looks very similar to the starting room of this map appears as a secret area in Test of Courage. There are multiple differences with the Test of Courage version of the map, as there is a giant meteor in the middle of the first floor. The "Beware of the Six" writing does not appear, as the writing instead appears at Reflection. Kino der Toten does not have a Mystery Box spawn point in this room, and the Nazi flags do not appear on the walls, although an American flag hangs on the door on the second floor.

There are two reasons why players could attempt to come to the area: there is an AUG on the top of the podium on the bottom floor, and Tombstone Soda is found upstairs, where the Mystery Box spawn was in the original.

Unlike the original Kino der Toten, Crawler Zombies do not spawn here, although Hellhounds and Zombies do. The reason is that Crawler Zombies spawn only in the Power Plant, and move out from there.

Weapons[]

Off-wall weapons:

  • AUG (1200 points)

Perk-a-Colas[]

Trivia[]

  • Under the stairs, where the electric trap entrance to the theatre is in the original, there is a hole in the door. Looking through the hole reveals that the theatre is the same as Kino der Toten's, een being undamaged by the meteors.
    • Noclipping through the wall reveals that it is just a 2D image of Kino der Toten's theatre.
  • In Test of Courage, the survivors call this area "Hidden Theatre".
    • Although, Bridgette Burkhard will sometimes say that this "looks like a Nazi theatre located in Germany", referencing Kino der Toten.
