Bestial, carnivorous and ravenous, the Kryll were a race of bat-like creatures which inhabited the Hollows of Sera. They would come out to the surface of a night following E-Day, in which holes to the surface properly emerged as opposed to cluttered construction mines. Due to millions of years living underground, the Kryll have become extremely sensitive to light and set alight if the light is bright enough. The Kryll can tolerate glowing substances or things like emergency lights which don't stay on long enough to kill them.

The Kryll, along with all of the Locust Horde, was brought to England after the multiverse was shattered on the Moon.

In Zombies

World of Death

The Kryll barely make an appearence in World of Death, only prominent during the Kryllstorm major easter egg in which the darkness envelopes the map. They do, however, appear during the duration of the Kryll's Dawn power-up, in which they kill all Zombies on the map. The Kryll will turn anyone, Locust, Lambent or Zombie in bits within seconds.

Nazizombiesplus.die

The Kryll return and have a more noticable role in Nazizombiesplus.die. They permanatley appear as it is currently night in Germany at the time. However, Steelport has many street lights, the shops all illuminate and car lights are always on unless shot. Places like alleyways, the middle of roads, parks or shantytowns (unless inside the buildings) are less popular ways to go, but if one has Stamin-Up, it is possible to take slightly less Kryll damage while the Zombies are torn to shreds. Kirsten is capable of outrunning the Kryll with her teleportation ability, aswell as her default speed if she isn't going uphill. Since the Deckers all wear neon blue attire, it is very difficult to lose teammates in the dark.

Trivia

• They are currently the only creatures from A Universe Splintered to appear in two maps.
• The Kryll are the only species within the horde in which the singular and plural form of their name is identical (i.e, 1 Kryll, 2 Kryll).
