The L96A1 is a canon weapon that appears in all Call of Duty: Black Ops zombie maps. It also appears in the World at War maps, but only through Rezurrection or the Hardened/Prestige edition of the game through the mystery box.
Overview[]
The L96A1 actually does a fair bit of damage, but the fact it is bolt-action and ADS is nearly forced it makes it very hard to use. It also has a slow reload, which isn't very good when you consider the magazine size is only five. However, it is very effective in close quarters if the player does not zoom in or quickscopes. It will almost always be a two or one hit kill, depending on where the player hits the zombie.
Pack-a-Punched Variant[]
The Pack-a-Punched L96A1 becomes the "L115 Isolator," gaining a Variable Scope, more ammo, and more power. The damage is doubled on the gun and you can get a one-hit kill up to Round 22. The magazine is also improved to 8 and there is more ammo. However, the reload time may be a problem in the higher rounds if the weapon is kept; Speed Cola should be purchased.
