Nakata Hayashi, callsign Demi, was a former member of Techno and later an agent of the Mirage Corporation. She was the second child of Takashi Hayashi and Haley Hayashi and younger sister of Tomiko Hayashi, and a main character in the Futuristic Paradox saga and the film Futuristic Redemption. She was affectionately known as "Naka" by her older brother.

Background[]

Early Life[]

Nakata Hayashi was born on May 5th, 2115 in the city of New Elpis, the capital of Paradise Island. Her father was born in Japan, although he moved to the country of Paradise Island to begin a new life, marrying what would one day be Nakata's mother. Two years prior to Nakata's birth, her parents gave birth to her older brother Tomiko. Nakata always looked up to her brother as a role model, and would always be there to support him in his time of need.

Joining Techno[]

After graduating high school in 2132, Nakata would discover that her brother founded Techno, a group of vigilantes formed under the guidance of the Mirage Corporation to help clear the streets of criminals and black market dealers who had stolen technology from the Vault of Paradise Island. Nakata would be the third member to join, gaining the callsign Demi and her role as an undercover agent.

Undercover Mission[]

On May 19th, 2138, Nakata was working undercover as "Natalie Holmes" to root out a suspected terrorist cell at Bunker 99. However, Nakata's cover would be blow during the operation, and in the ensuing chaos, she would be severely wounded from an explosion that blew her right arm off. Despite her wounds, Nakata managed to escape with her life thanks to the efforts of her brother and a few of his men who managed to extract her.

After the mission, Nakata stepped down as an active member in Techno, opting for an executive role within the Mirage Corporation as Techno's handler and liasion. Nakata's departure allowed Roxanne "Rox" Summers to later succeed Nakata as the Recon Agent Lead within the Techno Inner Circle, a promotion Nakata personally oversaw and approved of.

  • Cybernetic Enhancement: Demi's right arm was replaced by a cybernetic one given to her by the Mirage Corporation following a failed mission that resulted in the loss of her arm.
    • Computer Interfacing: Demi's augments were extended to her brain, allowing her to achieve neural connections with computers and electrical systems.
    • Superhuman Strength: Demi's cybernetic arm allowed her to achieve superhuman levels of strength, with such feats including carrying immensely heavy items or achieving an easy victory in arm wrestling.
