Outbreak is the third mission in the Futuristic Zombies Campaign. The mission sees Cyber Kat and the team led by Envoy being sent out to the outskirts of New Elpis by Techno leader Tomiko "Vendetta" Hayashi where the New Elpis Police Service receives scattered reports of violent attacks from citizens. The mission's events take place three hours prior to the events of "City of Hope".
Completing this mission on any difficulty unlocks Amber Summers as a Techno Operator for use in the Zombies mode and completing it on Nightmare difficulty unlocks her personal weapon Outrider as a Loadout weapon in Zombie Operations.

- Envoy wields a unique DC-15A Rifle known as the DC-15B, which is essentially the DC-15A but with a heat capacitor that's more effective at heat reduction than other DC-15As with heat capacitors, and cannot be obtained by any means.
