Punch Explosion is an act of Pack-a-Punching the users primary grenades (Semtex, Frag Grenades, Tomahawks or Molotov Cocktails), and giving them secondary abilities. The machine is introduced in Test of Courage and costs 3000 points. The machine resembles the original Pack-a-Punch machine, although it is red, has a Frag Grenade picture instead of Ray Gun, and has a tray in the front.
Locations[]
Future's Fortune[]
In Test of Courage, the Punch Explosion machine is found in the back of Wisdom's supermarket. It can only be accessed after the power has been turned on, as the player cannot see the machine in the pitch black.
Call of Duty: Zombie Operations[]
Punch Explosion weapons[]
Weapons that have been converted in the Punch Explosion machine are commonly referred to as Punch 'Nades, combining "Pack-a-Punch" and "Grenades".
When converted, the Fragmentation Grenades become the Cluster-115 Grenades. When thrown, a Frag Grenade releases three smaller grenades (similarly to the Matryoshka Dolls) which blow up simultaneously. While a normal Frag can deal 200-75 damage, all four Cluster-115 Grenades can do a total of 600-225 damage.
When converted, the Semtex Grenades become the 115-Assaulter Grenades. When thrown, they attract zombies, similarly to a Pack-a-Punched Crossbow shot. The grenade deals 510 damage to any zombies that are killed by the splash damage, while 750 to the zombie that the grenade is stuck to (if any). Regular Semtex grenades only deal 200 damage, making the 115-Assaulters more like Crossbow shots.
When converted, the Tomahawks become the 115-Maxihawks. When thrown, they leave a small patch of fire wherever they bounce, and deal a small explosion. Each fire deals 20 damage per second on fire, and the explosion deals 200 damage. If the 115-Maxihawks make contact with a zombie, they will instantly catch on fire and get knocked back as if shot by the Thundergun, making for a one-hit kill. This only applies to normal Zombies, Deviations and Crawler Zombies, and most special zombies are immune to the fire, and take only 650 damage from a direct hit, and are not effected by fire. In Call of Duty: Zombie Operations, the Tomahawks turn into the Hell's Retriever.
When converted, the Molotov Cocktails become the 935 Bombers. When thrown, they explode on contact, making them similar to throw-able Claymores. Like the claymores from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, they do 512-100 damage. If they hit a wall/floor/ceiling, they explode in fire, and deal 20 damage per second on fire.
