The Ruger Mini-14, or just the Mini-14, is a non-canon, semi-automatic assault rifle featured in some fanon maps.

Remember When...

The Mini-14 appears in the Remember When... storyline. It is has a moderate rate of fire, low penetration and recoil. It is one out of eleven assault rifles in the storyline. It has low damage, which makes it a good weapon for starting matches and it is least powerful assault rifle. This weapon has a somewhat small ammo conserve of 100 rounds in reserve and 10 in the weapon when starting off. It can be bought off of the wall in the starting rooms of maps for 500 points.

Effectiveness

The Mini-14 is a useful weapon to have in early rounds, even though it is the weakest assault rifle. It has a one-hit kill up until Round 2, then loses it the next round. Its semi-automatic firing mode makes it a weapon of deadly accurary. This combined with its low recoil makes it deadly in the hands of an expierenced player. Its low penetration makes it hard to use when shooting through objects, so it is recommended to not shoot through anythign if possible. This weapon should be traded by Round 8 or pack-a-punched by Round 9, if the player decides to keep it.

Pack-a-Punched Variant

When Pap'ed, the Mini-14 becomes the Big Blazer. After it is upgraded, its damage increases to 150-215 and its magazine size increases to 15 rounds, which makes its reserve ammo go up to 150 rounds. This weapon also gains a M203 grenade launcher which has more explosive damage than a normal M203. It should be traded for a better weapon by Round 13.
