The SAM-R is a non-canon, semi-automatic sniper rifle featured in some fanon maps.
Remember When...[]
The SAM-R appears in the Remember When... storyline maps. It has a moderate rate of fire, moderate penetration power and low recoil. It is one out of six sniper rifles in the storyline. It has moderate damage, which makes the weapon better for use in early rounds. This weapon has a good ammunition conserve with 200 rounds in reserve and one 20 round magazine ready for use in the weapon. It is only available from off the wall.
Effectiveness[]
The SAM-R is a good weapon to have in early rounds due to its good damage. It has a one-hit kill up until Round 5. It's semi-automatic firing mode and low recoil make it a great weapon to use if the player is trapped. However, due to the nature of it being a sniper rifle, it is recommended to only use this weapon at distances. Its moderate penetration power makes it a good weapon to use when shooting through thin materials like wood, plaster or sheet metal. However, it is not recommended to fire through objects as with most other weapons. This weapon should be pack-a-punched by Round 13 if the player keeps it that long.
Pack-a-Punched Variant[]
When the SAM-R is pack-a-punched, it becomes the N0 Sc0p3z. After it is upgraded, its damage increases from 155-230 to 310-385 and its magazine size increases 20 rounds to 30 rounds. Its reserve ammo also increases to 300 rounds. This weapon gains a variable zoom scope and a decreased hip-fire spread. It is best to trade this weapon by Round 19 for a better weapon.
New Dawn[]
The SAM-R appears in the New Dawn storyline, and is very similar to the Remember When... iteration. The only difference is a slight buff to damage (with 250-278), making it more viable on mid-rounds.
Pack-a-Punched Variant[]
The SAM-R, when pack-a-punched, becomes the Samael. Samael gains a massive damage boost (all the way to 430-480) and it's magazine size increases from 20 rounds to 35, with the reserve boosting to 300. The weapons reload speed is cut in half. This weapon is good until roughly round 22.
