Sophia, also known as her title The Daughter by the Nexus Apparitions, is the biological daughter of The Son and his arch-nemesis The Angel, both of whom being Nexu and were known as Ozma and Esmeralda at the time of her birth. She was introduced in The Final Chapter's second cinematic cutscene "Pursuit of Truth".
As the daughter of The Son and The Angel, Sophia and her older sisters all had inherited their parents' Nexu DNA, thus making them Nexu as well. It is also revealed that Sophia is the only daughter of Ozma that inherited The Son's reincarnation ability, allowing her to move through hosts as he does. Reasons for why the youngest inherited and not the first born was due to Sophia's DNA having more of The Son's DNA.
The end of the events of "Ascendance", The Apparition of The Father reveal to The Son that Sophia is indeed alive. He then discovers the remains of the Arc 3 Universe, where he felt the faint presence of a Nexu within, and restored the universe to reunite with her.[2]
With the Arc 3 Timeline Loop settled and dealt with, Sophia through her Host Jessika Hudson would be located by her father The Son. Because Ozma abandoned her and her older sisters as children, she held hatred towards him and did not want to look at him. After some convincing, she would find that The Son always missed her by sharing his fondest memory of her, which would also be her own as well, her birth. With that, she would find newfound trust in her father and introduced him and his two companions to the Drifters and her Host's daughter Sally. However, this meeting would be cut short by the arrival of Klara Riley's Neon Raiders and Isabelle Lakewood and her Forsaken and the group would be attacked by the Neon Raiders/Forsaken strike team, though with The Son and his Nexus Apparitions' abilities, they would make short work of the attackers, causing Siren and her forces to pull out after realizing their power, leaving Klara to be executed by her niece.[1]
After dealing with the attackers, Sophia is asked by The Son if she wanted to return to the Nexus with him, she would accept under the condition that Sally come along as well, which The Son accepts and welcomes her as his granddaughter. Sophia and Jessika bid their friends farewell before departing and arriving in the Nexus Void. However, she would separate from him once again after he leaves to deal with an incursion that results in his current form's death and reincarnation. She would receive No Name and becomes the Nexus Ruler in her father's absence. Sophia would grant Sally the name Sapientia, the name of The Mother and begins to work with the Nexus Apparitions to prevent The Angel from gaining new ground while seeking to locate The Son.[1]
During her searches for The Son, Sophia observed the events that led to the creation of a fusion of Heather Mason and Lena Oxton, and decided to save the fusion from dying to a fire by bringing her to the Nexus, entrusting her to Casey Dawson and Marina Dawson in the Arc 3 universe.[3]

Since she has the same reincarnation ability as The Son, Sophia has also moved from host to host. Working the same way as The Son's reincarnation, the memories of Sophia's hosts merge with her own once she moves on to the next. Just like her biological father, her essence and life-force clings to like-minded individuals.
