Lady Sylvanas Windrunner (also stylised as the Banshee Queen by the public or the Dark Lady by her people) is the founder and leader of the ruthless Forsaken. She was initially a High Elf who was killed and resurrected as a Banshee. After recovering her body, she set out to free the other undead from slavery. After this, she inhabited her people's former homeland so they can live their in death aswell.
Sylvanas plays a major role in Elemental Ascendance.

Ebon states that not all the Val'kyr binded their souls to him, and that some binded their soul to an Elf. Sylvanas is this elf, so she too is technically immortal so long as her strong Val'kyr remain alive.
Fortune's End[]
Ebon mentions that he can sense Sylvanas and a new continent bursting through the Earth's Crust after Round 20. Dead Raiser appears worried after this.
Elemental Ascendance[]
Sylvanas is first mentioned as finding new allies with EternalBlaze, who had recently became Undead himself. Sylvanas comforted him, saying that in death, he is immortal. Whilst they are away, Sylvanas sends her Forsaken soldiers, under the command of her champion Nathanos Blightcaller back to Northrend to set up barricades against the Twilight's Hammer. Sylvanas eventually returns presumabley allyless, only to have two Corpsers rip through the icy wasteland and the armies of the Locust Horde arrive. Several Reavers also arrive to bring supplies to the Temple. It is revealed in a conversation between Queen Myrrah and Sylvanas that the Horde now occupies all of Western Europe, with their borders stopping at the ruins of Steelport in West Germany. Myrrah had been convinced that the humans deserve to live with them since the events of World of Death.
Sylvanas later takes part in the covert operation to get Thrall to the Temple safetly with the Dragon Soul in order to stop the invasion and save the world.
Trivia[]
- Sylvanas was planned to be introduced into A Universe Splintered since the first letter of World of Death was typed, even before Elemental Ascendance was planned.
