The Deceiver is a collection of musical easter eggs introduced in the Time Monster storyline. It contains the Combat Veterans' main soundtrack and it is the spiritual successor to The Instrumentalist that appeared in Dark Tears. It is the fourth and largest collection to be submitted to Time Monster.
In order to access The Deceiver, one must find a dead zombie holding a copy of Combat Veterans, however in Bashal 'Alar, a minor easter egg must be completed to unlock it.
The Deceiver was not going to be included in Time Monster originally, due to The Instrumentalist's planned return. However, The Instrumentalist surcummed to glitches and file malfunctions and was, ultimately, cut from the game. With time running out, the Time Monster team decided to make a collection based around Combat Veterans' soundtrack.
The Deceiver alongside it's cousins were later introduced to other works, gaining new songs along the way.
