- “In a desperate attempt to escape, the group managed to reach a teleporter and managed to get inside, although they left Sophia behind. Bloody Mary had other ideas, and now the Teleporter has malfunctioned, leaving the group in this strange mid-realm until they can escape.”
- ―Level description
The Dream is the second map in the Time Monster storyline. It is set inside a "mid-realm" between two teleporter spots, caused by the Teleporter malfunctioning. It features what remains of the group as playable characters, as well as the introduction of Aether Spirits, an enemy originally conceived for the Time Travel Will Tell Series.
Overview[]
The map is completely random in terms of structure. Cut down to the bare essentials, the map is circular in shape, however every match random buildings and utilities will spawn in randomised settings. One match there may be a sniper tower, and the next that tower will have moved to the other end of the map. Mystery Box spawns remain the same, and the Pack-A-Punch is always in the centre, unlocked by opening all doors in the map, causing the metal gates surrounding it to open.
Aether Spirits are the only new notable enemy. They come in two different variants in-game. The first is the weeping soul, which wanders the map crying to itself in grief, but when shot it explodes violently, empowering Zombies by giving them an additional 100% of their current health (so a Zombie who was on 20% health will be raised to 40%). They will also disable electronic equipment and depower Wonder Weapons temporarily.
The second Aether Spirit will wander the map as well, and upon finding Zombies or Humans it will be start spreading Aether Fire around in order to kill them. The Aether Fire is identical damage and appearance wise to that of Gruntijackal's fire in the Hiru's Final Wish major easter egg of Shinin no meiyo.
Hellhounds now act as guard dogs to certain buildings (usually ones with perks or the mystery box inside), and will only attack (or be damaged) if the player disturbs the building. When the Pack-A-Punch is unlocked, 15 Hellhounds will stand to protect it.
The Zombie AI is identical to that of Bashal 'Alar.
Trivia[]
- The Dream was originally going to be called Americanos, set in America in one of the holes created by the Missiles.
