The Ebon Monster is a collection of musical easter eggs introduced in Vengeance. It is essentially the EP The Fame Monster, but it's name is changed due to the collection being the third of musical easter eggs submitted to Dark Tears by it's original author. It contains 8 songs, the smallest collection in the Dark Tears soundtrack.
The Ebon Monster alongside it's cousins were later introduced to other works, gaining new songs along the way.
In Dark Tears it is activated by finding the corpse of a woman, and the options will pop up by using the use button on her corpse. Time Monster shares this trait, however in Bashal 'Alar, Bloody Mary can only be activated by being killed by Bloody Mary, a reference to the legend. It is unknown how it is activated in Cabin: Ultra Edition.
Aside from "Pocketful of Sunshine", all of the songs have a dark or negative theme.

- The Ebon Monster and Dead Beetle were initially unavailable due to a glitch, but it was later patched. The 900th Maiden was fixed later on.
