Ultimate Sacrifice is an achievement featured in the map Destati. It requires the player to "seal the rift". It is the main easter egg of the map. It can be achieved in solo or with multiple people.
In order to start the easter egg, all previous easter eggs in the A Better Tomorrow saga must be completed.
Step 1: Opening the Generator Room[]
To the east of the Morbid Pillar is a locked door. In order to open it, one must acquire a M79 "Thumper" and shoot at the door, causing it to burst open. Inside the room is the Summoning Key, which was teleported there when the characters entered the rift in the previous level. Pick up the Summoning Key and bring it to the Morbid Pillar. There, all of the players in the game must interact with the artifact.
Step 2: Ultimate Sacrifice[]
The player must now defend the Morbid Pillar as it begins to charge up all of its energy. It will take about five minutes for the pillar to charge up. Once done, the Summoning Key will start to spark with green lightning. In order to finish the easter egg, all players must interact with the Summoning Key at the same time, causing the screen to become white as the end cutscene will play.
Cutscene[]
The Morbid Pillar will then send a beam of pure green energy into the center of the rift, causing the rift to send out green lightning as the clouds become a dark green. The rift will slowly close before fully closing. As the four begin to celebrate, the ground beneath them begins to crack. The entire old future timeline then begins to fall apart completely up until only the four characters are left floating in nothingness with tons of debris of the future timeline all around them. Wondering why they aren't gone or destroyed, they soon realize that they ultimately created a new realm, one they were stuck in forever.
Rewards[]
The player is rewarded with 10,000 XP, as well as a checkmark on the map selection icon. The achievement is also unlocked as well.
