Vanguard is the fifth mission in the Futuristic Zombies Campaign. The mission sees Cyber Kat staying with Agent Jones when he embarks to secure the Hypercenter Mall, using it as a safe zone for the city's citizens. The mission's events take place immediately after "Metropolis", thus two hours before "Hypercenter".
Completing this mission on any difficulty unlocks Delta as a Private Army Operator for use in the Zombies mode and completing it on Nightmare difficulty unlocks his personal weapon Delta Force as a Loadout weapon in Zombie Operations.
