- ―John F. Kennedy
The Zombie Uprising was a conflict between Humanity and the Undead. It began after Doctor Ludvig Maxis and his daughter were murdered by Edward Richtofen and Harvey Yena (under the influence of an aether spirit unleashed the Zombies upon the world. It was not long before the Zombies spread to Siberia and the rest of Germany. The Zombies became a threat and eventually only pockets of resistance were left as large cities such as Berlin, London and Paris fell and high security areas like Der Riese and Area 51 were overrun.
Prelude to Darkness[]
Ludvig Maxis and Group 935 were ordered by Adolf Hitler to create a new weapon for the Wehrmacht to use in the War. Maxis complied and began experimenting alongside his group. When Element 115 crashed into a Group 935 research facility near Japan, Maxis took the majority of the Element back to Germany to experiment on.
The experiments were ruthless, ranging from teleportation, to the transformation of deceased bodies into Zombies, to Perk-A-Colas and Upgrading Mechanisms.
Unfortunatley one of these experiments, the act of Element 115 lightning injections, backfired as an unidentified human was a test subject and died because of it. He became the first Aether Spirit. Maxis continued to test with the electricity, the upgraded version empowering the victims and sometimes even cloning them. Edward Richtofen conspired against Maxis and killed both Maxis and his daughter. The Aether Spirit then took advantage of the situation, and drove Harvey Yena to madness and made him open to Zombie cages. Not long after this, Element 115 began falling to Earth much more commonly.
The Uprising began when the Der Riese facility fell, and the Zombies spread out from Der Riese.
